Central Baptist Church loves Youth!

Come join us on Wednesday Nights at 6:00pm in the youth room up on the 3rd floor of Central Baptist Church!  We have fun together as we learn how to love God and love one another.

Also, we meet for Sunday School at our regular Sunday School hour 9:45-10:45 am on Sundays in our youth room up on the 3rd floor.

We also find ways to serve our church family, our community, and our world!  Stay tuned for ways you can get involved.

All Parents or Guardians of youth are invited to a Parents Meeting on Friday February 12, 2010 at 6:30pm in the Parlor at Central Baptist Church.  Light refreshments will be provided.  This will be an opportunity to:

Afterwards parents can stay and help students set up for the Valentine Banquet if they so desire.

Come celebrate Valentines Day and the Chinese New Year at our Valentine Banquet on February 13, 2010!  This romantic evening will include a 4-course dinner (pork and chicken) and dessert.  The free will offering will help send our Youth Group to Young Christians Weekend at Silver Dollar City.  Serving times are at 5:00 pm and 6:30 pm.  Make your reservation on Januarary 24, 31, or Febuarary 7, 2010 in the Heritage Room.

Young Christians Weekend is just around the corner.  Young Christians Weekend is a weekend retreat on March 26-28th at Silver Dollar City with speakers, worship, and time at the Silver Dollar City theme park.  You can sign up now to reserve your spot!  You can get a registration form from the office or Ryan Donoho.  The cost for the trip will be around $100 plus spending money, and sign-up requires a $10 deposit.  Sign-ups are due by Feburary 17, 2010, and full payement will be due March 3, 2010.

Skwim is a skiing and swimming retreat in Wisconsin. We joined with other youth ministries from around Illinois for a time of fun, fellowship, worship, and learning.  We had a great time at Skwim!  You can look at the pictures and videos on our youth Facebook group.  Thank you to everyone who prayed for us!

Our youth ministry joined with other youth ministries from around the Quincy area on January 10, 2010 for a time of fellowship and worship at Grandview Church.  I meet with a group of other youth ministers from all around Quincy, and we are planning to put together four area-wide youth gatherings a year.  This get together in January was the first of four for this year.  Our next one is on April 11, 2010 at Vermont Street United Methodist Church.
