There is a plethora of contemporary books that describe people’s experiences of entering heaven and hell. Rob Bell’s new book, Love Wins: Heaven, Hell, and the Fate of Every Person Who Ever Lived, proposes that hell does not exist and that all people will ultimately go the heaven. Is this true? New Year Day Southern Gospel Concert

Celebrate The New Year With Master’s Voice Live In Concert: Central Baptist Church of Quincy, Seventh St and Broadway Ave, invites the public to a free Southern Gospel Concert on New Year’s Day, Sunday, January 1 at 8:30 and 11:00 a.m. in the Church. The nationally acclaimed Christian music group, Master’s Voice will ring in the New Year with a live concert at Central Baptist Church of 321 N. 7th St., Quincy, Illinois on Sunday morning, January 1, 2012. Master’s Voice members include Jonathan Drew (lead singer), David Herring (pianist) Ricky Capps (tenor), and Joey Johnson (baritone). Concert goers will be blessed by the timeless message of hope found in the songs and testimony of the four young men comprising Master’s Voice.
Committed to their calling in proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ in song and in word Master’s Voice travels nationally and beyond in ministry more than 200 dates a year. In 2011, Master’s Voice marked 16 years of ministry with friends, Gold City, Karen Peck & New River, The Bowlings, Jeff & Sheri Easter, The Talley Trio and The Galloways during the two day Homecoming celebration.
Presenting with a harmony that compares to none other, Master’s Voice began more than 16 years ago with the church youth presenting special music on Sunday. Soon, the youth group musicians transformed into one of Christian music’s greatest vocal messengers of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
The concert is free and open-to-the-public. A free will offering will be received during the concert.

Children’s Christmas Program

The children are beginning to practice this year’s Christmas program. All children are welcome to join us as we practice the music and parts for the program on Sunday mornings after the 8:30 service and before Sunday school. Most of the children have been given a CD of the music for the program. If your child did not receive a CD, please let Rexanne Greuter know. The children’s Sunday school Christmas program, A Bunch of Gifts for Christmas (by Cathy Skogen-Soldner), will be held on Sunday, December 18, at 6:00 p.m. in the sanctuary at Central Baptist Church.

Bible in 90 Days Church Wide Challenge

CONGRATULATIONS TO EVERYONE WHO FINISHED the Church Wide Challenge to read the Bible in 90 Days. Hopefully, God revealed new knoweldge as you study His word, and you have a greater appreciation for Scripture.
