Flowers for Worship – Ordering flowers for worship is a prime opportunity to honor or remember someone with a gift that glorifies God. Members and friends of Central Baptist Church are encouraged to purchase flowers for worship on any Sunday except Holy Days (Christmas and Easter Sunday when the Sanctuary is decorated by numerous flowers). Flower arrangements are approved on a first come, first served basis. The Chair of the Decorating Committee will approve all flower arrangements, dates, use of Chancel Vases, placement, liturgical season and compliance with written policies. Names to be printed in the bulletin must be in the office before Wednesday at 12:00 p.m. Florists may deliver flowers during regular business hours. No refund or replacement will be made of flowers or arrangements that do not comply with Church policy. Flowers remaining after Sunday worship will be given to shut-ins or discarded.
The person ordering the floral arrangement should inform the florist of the following space limitations:
- Flower toppers Centered on the Chancel Table should not exceed table top (71” long), 14” wide or 12” high so not to obscure the Cross, Choir or Director.
