Central Baptist Church participates in the regional camping ministries at LAKE SPRINGFIELD BAPTIST CAMP. The purpose of the camping program is to “bring children, youth and adults a step closer to Christ.”
Lake Springfield Baptist camp is located in Central Illinois, just South of Springfield. The camp, situated on Lake Springfield, provides summer camping programs and facilities for conferencing and retreats. The lodge and cabins provide housing and services for approximately 125 people. A variety of water sports are offered - boating, canoeing, paddleboats, and swimming. Provision is made for indoor and outdoor games as well as crafts of many kinds. The camp also offers winterized facilities that can accommodate 50 people overnight.
In 2007, Aaron and Callie Stanley became the new managers. Both have hands-on experience as camping staff and volunteers at Lake Springfield Baptist Camp. Callie has spent the past 4 years as the Assistant Manager under Kathy Hutchins, and last year Aaron spend the fall at the camp after their wedding. The couple look forward to sharing their passion for camping with students, parents and adults alike!

Central Baptist Church provides financial assistance for its members and their children who attend summer church camp at Lake Springfield Baptist Camp. The Church will pay half of the first registration fee per camper if their parent or guardain submit a completed, signed registration form to the Church Office or online before Wednesday, May 7, 2008.
