$10,000.00 Gift from Florence Wilson Estate

Central Baptist Church praises the Lord for the $10,000.00 bequest from the Florence Wilson estate to help with the Roof Fund. Ms. Florence Wilson was a faithful follower of the Lord Jesus Christ having accepted God’s loving forgiveness in Christ in the spring of 1943. She was baptized as a believer on April 23, 1943; some 64 years ago. Church was central to Florence’s life! She taught Sunday school, served on the Board of Missions, was a member of the Women’s Bible Class, a member of the American Baptist Women’s Joy Circle, Christian Education Board, a nursery attendant for many years, and helped serve in the kitchen on Wednesday nights. One cannot mention the life of Florence without also mentioning her philanthropic work for she had a “purple heart” (referring to her American Baptist women work of collecting change in the “Love Gift” box, rolling bandages, and supporting the missionary society central to her faith and heart). We express our sincere gratitude for God’s faithful and generous servant!
