Easter Egg Hunt in Washington Park – Saturday, April 3

This year, Central Baptist Church is planning and participating in an Ecumenical Easter Egg Hunt with our fellow downtown churches and the Quincy Historical Business District. The event will take place on Saturday, April 3, 2010 in Washington Park at 10:00 a.m. Parents, grandparents, guardians, aunts, uncles, adults and children from newborn through 5th grade are encouraged to attend this community event! There will be age appropriate areas for collecting eggs, special prizes and gift certificates from downtown businesses, and an opportunity to order a photo with an Easter Bunny.

You can help the Church prepare for this event: Please donate candy-filled or prize-filled Easter eggs for school-aged children before Sunday, March 28, 2010. We need to collect 700 filled eggs. Place them in the drop-ff container at the end of the first floor hallway near the Children’s Ministry booth.

Also, volunteers will be needed on Saturday, April 3 to hide eggs, oversee the egg hunt, and then clean up our sponsored area after the egg hunt. Sign up below or contact the Church Office. For more information, contact Adina at adina@cbcquincy.org, Director of Children’s Ministries.

Nursery & Child Care for Congregational Meeting

There will be no Awana Bible Club on Wednesday, March 10, 2010. All adult and youth members are encouraged to attend the Congregational Meeting on Functional Structure with our Executive Minister, the Rev. Dr. Dwight Stinnett. Dr. Stinnett will attend CHUPPERS at 5:00 p.m. Then, he will make a presentation on church governance and ministry, with a question / answer period, starting at 6:00 p.m. No decisions or votes will occur during this Congregational Meeting. The Children’s Ministry will provide Nursery Care (new born thru age 4) and Child Care (pre-school thru 3rd grade) for individuals and couples who attend the Congregational Meeting. Please register for CHUPPERS accordingly. Contact me if you have questions or concerns.
