All children are welcome to join us as we practice the music and parts for the program on Sunday mornings after the 8:30 service and before Sunday school.  Most of the children have been given a CD of the music for the program.  If your child did not receive a CD, please let Rexanne Greuter know. The children’s Sunday school Christmas program, A Bunch of Gifts for Christmas (by Cathy Skogen-Soldner), will be held on Sunday, December 18, at 6:00 p.m. in the sanctuary at Central Baptist Church.

Two programs were chosen to meet the changing needs of the children’s ministry and our mission to serve children a fun and loving way.

Buzz from Groups, Inc. is for Preschool through the Fourth Grade.  It is a fun way for kids to experience the Bible in a way they enjoy.  It is designed to be an interactive experience!  Kids will learn in whatever way fits their style – whether that’s reading, acting, drawing, listening, singing, playing a game and more.  They will learn life-changing lessons and build relationships with one another. 

Grapple from Groups, Inc. was chosen for the Pre-Teens (5th & 6th grade).  The program  provides easy to lead lessons that get the kids thinking, talking, and living out faith.  A DVD of discussion-sparking short films and cool “countdown videos” is included.  It is perfect for the You Tube generation. Watch for further announcements for training sessions and volunteer information, and how you can support the BuGs program.  If you want to minister to children, please contact John Kuhl or Betty Darrow.

Join us Saturday, July 30 for a ONE DAY Vacation Bible School filled with fun games, crafts, snacks, and of course, awesome Bible stories!   Check out our VBS website: www.vacationbibleschool.com/cbcquincy! You can register your child to attend there or stop by the church to fill out a form.  There is also a place on the website for adult volunteers to sign up too!  Volunteers are needed for before, during, and after VBS.  Just pick which way you can serve!  See Scott Darrow for more information.
