Thu, 02 Feb 2012 17:11:56 +0000 en hourly 1 http://wordpress.org/?v=3.2.1 Awana Awards Night http://www.cbcquincy.org/2011/04/29/awana-awards-night/ http://www.cbcquincy.org/2011/04/29/awana-awards-night/#comments Fri, 29 Apr 2011 16:15:19 +0000 Ivan http://www.cbcquincy.org/?p=3446 The whole congregation as well as family friends is invited to celebrate yet another great year of fun, friends and learning about Jesus.  The awards will be presented in the Sanctuary on Wednesday, May 4 at 6:00 p.m.  Immediately following the awards ceremony, there is an ice cream social in the fellowship hall.  All children, families, friends, and the congregation are welcome to attend.  There will be no Adult Bible Study on Wednesday, May 4 so all adults can attend the Awana Awards ceremony.  This is the final night for Awana Bible Club this spring.

Parents or guardians, make sure to register your children before the registration party on Wednesday, September 8.  Also make sure to fill out a new medical release form for each child,  Medical Release for Children 2010-2011.

Dr. Dwight Stinnett.  Dr. Stinnett will attend CHUPPERS at 5:00 p.m.  Then, he will make a presentation on church governance and ministry, with a question / answer period, starting at 6:00 p.m.  No decisions or votes will occur during this Congregational Meeting.  The Children’s Ministry will provide Nursery Care (new born thru age 4) and Child Care (pre-school thru 3rd grade) for individuals and couples who attend the Congregational Meeting.  Please register for CHUPPERS accordingly.  Contact me if you have questions or concerns.

If you have not spoken with me or signed up to help with AWANA Bible Club this fall, please, come talk to me.  Volunteers need to complete two training events and a background check.  Our first training event will be Wednesday, August 12 in the Church Parlor from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m.  The second trainingevent will be the AWANA ministry conference on Saturday, August 15 at Lighthouse Baptist Church from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.   The Church will pay the registration costs for volunteers in Central Baptist’s children’s ministries.  Everyone planning to work in our AWANA Bible Club in the fall needs to attend the training event at Lighthouse Baptist Church.  Child care will be provided at the Church for our volunteers.  Please call me in advance if you need child care, so I can contact our nursery workers.  I will not be able to attend the regional AWANA training event at Light House Baptist Church since I will be attending the national AWANA Commander College in Dayton, Iowa.   Commander Heather Lair will be leading our AWANA workers on August 15, 2009.
