Quarterly Business Meeting

The Church Council has called a Quarterly Business Meeting for Sunday, October 23 at 12:30 p.m. The meeting will follow the Carry In / Potluck dinner. The Council approved a Bylaw Changes for consideration by the Congregation during this meeting. These changes are posted on the bulletin board outside the Church Office and announced during worship as outlined in the current Constitution and Bylaws. All Ministries (Children, Diaconate, Family Life, Missions, Trustees, and Youth) are required to submit a written report to the Church Office by Wednesday for this Quarterly meeting. Annual Church Business Meeting

Central Baptist Church will hold its Annual Meeting on Sunday, January 16 at 12:00 noon in the Fellowship Hall. Members and Friends of Central Baptist Church are invited to this “carry in” potluck. Tableware and drinks will be provided by the Ministry of Family Life. The printed Annual Report will be available in the Church Office starting Sunday, January 9. Seven Simple Ways to Give to the Lord

We all have a need to give. God invites Christians to give to the LORD’s work through our local church. Central Baptist Church of Quincy is delighted to invite faithful Christians to seriously consider the question: What percentage of my income is God inviting me to give through the local church? Generous, systematic giving enriches the lives of the giver and receiver, as well as enables the giver to participate in God’s mission in the world. Central Baptist Church wants financial giving to be easy and enriching for every growing Christian. Therefore, we have made giving simple! You can support God’s work in Quincy and the world by donating through these means:

Sunday Offering - Donate cash or check into the offering plates during worship on Sunday mornings, or place your donations in the “offering box” in the Chapel. Please contact our Stewardship Secretary, Jim Mealiff, to request a giving number and box sets of offering envelopes.
Give On-Line – On-line giving is a safe, easy and confidential way to support the LORD’S work through Central Baptist Church. Simply visit the Church website to make a donation (www.cbcquincy.org). This system enables you to make a one time donation or establish a recurring contribution.
Electronic Fund Transfer - Set up an automatic EFT from a personal checking or savings account to Central Baptist Church’s on-line savings account at Mercantile Bank, Quincy (contact the Church Office at 217-222-1310 for the account number).
Mail - Send a check to Central Baptist Church, 321 N. 7th Street, Quincy, IL, 62301.
Stocks, Stock Certificates, Bonds and Mutual Funds – Donate Stocks, Stock Certificates, bonds and mutual funds directly to the Church. Brokers and donors should contact the Church to receive the proper paperwork for donations of stock, bonds and mutual funds.
Retirement IRA Contribution – The Pension Protection Act of 2006 (PPA 2006) authorizes qualifying individuals to donate a portion of their IRA retirement account to a charity. The custodian of the IRA should contact the Church for proper paperwork and account information.
Will & Estate Plans – Designate Central Baptist Church in your will and estate plans. Contact our denomination’s Estate Planning Agency, the American Baptist Foundation at www.americanbaptistfdn.org. for confidential assistance.
