Central Baptist Church

The Rev. Orville B. Jones, Jr. and the First Baptist Church of Quincy cordially invites members and friends of Central Baptist Church to a Ministerial Ordination Service on Saturday, February 6 at 6:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church, 739 N. 8th St, Quincy.  Minister Cedric Allen will be ordained to the Gospel Ministry with Pastor Ivan serving on his Ordination Council.   Minister Allen is the husband of Cathy (Howerter) Allen, and son-in-law of Zeke and Carol Howerter, members of Central Baptist Church.  The speaker for this special service will be the dynamic Reverend Dr. Melvin Grimes, Senior Pastor of the Tabernacle Baptist Church of Moline, Illinois.  The Reverend John Henry Mims has consented to serve as Catechist for this service.  The congregation is invited to the fellowship hall in the lower level following the service for a light repast.  Central Baptist Church’s Saturday evening worship service will be held at the First Baptist Church of Quincy at 6:00 p.m.
