"Hope Has Hands" Christmas Cantata Concert Sunday at 6:30 P.M.
The Chancel Choir will perform their Christmas Cantata, "Hope Has Hands," created by Sue C. Smith, Phil Cross and Russell Mauldin; arranged by Russell Mauldin. "Hope Has Hands" is a joyous Christmas message: Emmanuel, the Light of the World, our hope of salvation was sent to us over two thousand years ago. It's our joy and our privilege to share this news with the whole world through this thirty-five minute musical filled with familiar classic carols and songs like - Beautiful Star of Bethlehem; Go, Tell it on the Mountain; Mary, Did You Know? and of course, Joy to the World! This festive musical also includes several stirring new songs from Dove-Award winning writer Phil Cross and Sue C. Smith.
The Chancel Choir will perform this musical on Sunday, December 13 at 6:30 p.m. Jim Fox and Peggy Pryor will serve as narrators. Adina Butler, Anna Pepin and the narrators will perform solos. Come for an evening of holiday joy as we hear the Good News of Christmas: "Hope Has Hands." The concert is free, and open to the public. A free will offering will be received for the Music Ministry at Central Baptist Church. Following the Cantata, guests will be invited for a "Cookie and Punch" reception in the Fellowship Hall.
