On Sunday, during my sermon, I encouraged everyone to write a new verse for the traditional hymn, “Joy to the World,” to share your personal thoughts of gratitude and adoration. Do you have your homework done? Zechariah sang a new song to God to celebrate the birth of John the Baptist. God has done great things in our lives. What words of praise to you have the share with God in worship? Several people have submitted their inspirations, including Andy Rhea’s creation:
Glory unveiled by human skin,
Creation now complete,
The spotless Lamb descended,
The separation ended.
Now man and God shall meet,
Now man and God shall meet,
Now man, now man and God shall meet.
