Hello to all from Lake Springfield Baptist Camp!
We have just wrapped up a wonderful summer! We would like to thank you so much for your support, as we learned the ins and outs of camp management. God truly blessed Lake Springfield Baptist Camp this summer. It was a goal breaking summer with 560 campers!! Praise God! Many goals were accomplished such as two remodeled bathhouses, a new zip-line, cleaned up cabins, a updated makeover for Carter Hall, a new golf cart, rockers for Carter Hall porch, and more. We even received a perfect score on our surprise health department kitchen inspection. God is good!
We have a need right now for a lawn mower. Right now, the camp has NO mower at all. The broken ones have been fixed for the last time , and not fixable. People have been very generous in their giving to our mower fund, so we almost have enough. To raise the remainder of the mower cost, we are having an auction. We are auctioning off 2 signs from the Lake Benton campground that closed. One says ” LAKE BENTON” and one says “VOLUNTEER HALL” . We are taking bids for both, and each one goes to the highest bidder. The auction ends at the close of the GRR convention on Oct. 31st. People or churches can bid by emailing us at bradyfamily33@yahoo.com, or by stopping by the Lake Springfield Baptist Camp table at the Great Rivers Region Convention on October. They can also call the camp at 217-529-1921.
Thank you again for sending your children to Lake Springfield Baptist Camp this summer , and Praise God for a fabulous camping season!
