The Board of Christian Education will celebrate Sunday School promotion on August 30, 2009 during the 8:30 and 11:00 a.m. worship services. Franc Langenburg, Chair of Christian Education, will recognize teachers, introduce classes and award Bibles for the following persons:
- Children entering Kindergarten will receive a “Beginners Bible”
- Elementary age children entering fourth (4th) grade will receive a “Kids Quest Study Bible”
- Youth entering the seventh (7th) grade will receive a “Teen Study Bible”
The Bibles were purchased by the Board of Christian Education through the generous giving of church members. The annual Sunday School Promotion celebration is held each Fall to mark the beginning of a new Christian religious school year. Parents and guardians should contact the church office (pastor@cbcquincy.org) to register their child for a Sunday school class. Adult religious education classes will be highlighted, too.
