In February, 2009, the Congregation voted to purchase a 2008 14 passenger minibus for $44,775.00. This vehicle requires no CDL (Commercial Drivers License; J02 only) to drive. The Trustees made a “special appeal drive” and received several pledges toward the cost of the vehicle. These pledges can be paid over a two year period (pledge now, pay later). As of June 22, Central Baptist received $17,375.00 in pledges and additional cash donations. If you made a pledge, please be faithful to complete your financial commitment. If you have NOT pledged, please consider making a financial commitment toward this important project by completing a pledge card online (below) or in the Church Office (pledges are kept confidential). This minibus is designed for our senior citizens and children’s ministries. There are no restricted reserves funds or general budget funds available for this special project. The Trustees have considered other options including a used minibus; however, the cost of a used minibus meeting our transportation needs is $35,000.00 or more.
