Jim Mealiff, our Stewardship Secretary, released his final report on our New Consecration Sunday stewardship campaign…and it’s Good News. Central Baptist received 120 pledge cards for 2009 - twenty-seven cards more than 2008. Thirteen families pledge to Tithe (10%). Fourteen families pledged to move beyond the Tithe (11% or more), and 28 families increased their financial commitment above their 2007 pledge.
A total of $309,048.00 as pledged for 2009 compared to a total of $257,252.00 pledged for 2008 making an increase of $51,796.00 or roughly seventeen percent. Praise the Lord!
Thank you to ever person and family who completed a pledge to financially support Central Baptist Church in the New Year! Your generous contributions makes a positive impact in people’s lives - in Quincy and around the globe. A special “thank you, too” to our New Consecration Sunday Committee: Joyce Kuhl (Chair), Shirley Rhodes, Barbara Hutchens, Anna Peppin, Ken Bigelow, Jim Fox and Bill Wells. A big thank you to Sharon Liebig and the Decorating Committee, along with Rita Schmidt and Frances Trantor, for their hard work. The success of this stewardship campaign is a result of God’s mighty work among us and the hard work of volunteers.
