Dear Pastor Ivan and Everyone at Central Baptist Church,
Once again, Central Baptist Church came through and blessed First Baptist Church’s “Back to School Help Fair” with 65 sets of school supplies and 35 backpacks for the first graders on August 16! This year, there were approximately 670 students who attended the fair…and by the end of the day, almost all of the donated supplies and backpacks were distributed!
Rev. Orville Jones, as well as all the members of First Baptist Church, continue to be touched every year by so many churches and social services coming together to meet the needs of Quincy’s youth and I personally wanted to write to say a big THANK YOU for your willingness to help provide the needed supplies! This was truly a blessing and please know that all of your hard work with gathering the supplies (I know it’s not easy!) proved well-worth it by the response at the fair.
And I also wanted to personally share that I so appreciate Central Baptist Church’s continued interest and willingness to take part in this much-needed ministry. We’re meeting real needs in our own local community in Christ’s Name and providing a very attractive, Christian witness to a watching world. It really is a great thing when churches can work together and very pleasing to God!
Anyway, I know we’ll stay in touch but I wanted to express my deep appreciation to you all!
