The Board of Missions adopted three new special interest missionaries through our partners organization, International Ministries, who will receive monthly financial support from Central Baptist. International Ministries, organized in 1814, is the oldest Baptist Mission agency formed in North America. They serve more than 2,500 short-term missionaries annually, bringing U.S. and Puerto Rico churches together with partners in 76 countries in cutting-edge ministries that tell the good news of Jesus Christ while meeting human needs. The newly adopted missionaries are:
- Wendy Bernhard, who teaches “Responsible Living Skills” at the Bible Institute of Kimpese, Democratic Republic of Congo, Africa.
- Deliris Carrion, Christian education program coordinator at the Baptist Schools of Santa Ana and San Salvador, El Salvador.
- Charles and Sarah West, coordinator of educational ministries and leadership development for the Baptist Convention of Zambia, Africa.
You can find more information about these new missionaries at www.internationalministries.org, including photographs, biographical information and electronic journals. “We are thankful for the consistent financial giving of our members who fund ministry and mission in Quincy and around the world,” stated Pastor Ivan. “A tithe - ten percent - of all general money given through Central Baptist Church supports our missionaries and global work.” Individuals can donate online (below) or through International Ministries.
