Wendy Bernhard Returns to Congo

July 15th, 2008

Dear praying friends,

The year of “U.S. - Puerto Rico Assignment” has gone fast, and is now coming to a close.  I enjoyed my time as missionary-in-residence at Judson University, and the chance to meet with many of you in my travels.  I’m sorry I didn’t get to see all of you!  Now, I’m in Elko, Nevada, enjoying time with my sister and her family, and with my home church, Elko First Baptist.

I’m excited to let you know that a vibrant and dynamic Missionary Partnership Team (MPT) has been forming here, based at Elko First Baptist Church, to help me maintain a close and consistent relationship with you.  Because you are committed to praying for me and supporting my ministry in the Democratic Republic of the Congo,  you are automatically members of my Missionary Partnership Network.

As I get ready to leave Elko on July 6, I would ask for your special prayers during my travel to Prague, Czech Republic, for a missionary retreat and Baptist World Alliance conferences.  In between those meetings, in the middle of the month, I’ll be going to France to visit long-time friends.  My arrive in Kinshasa, will be on July 29, and a few days later I’ll be going to Kimpese, where I will be teaching once again at the Bible Institute and working with Responsible Living Skills seminars for young people, including the True Love Waits program.

Please not my contact information: wendycongo@msn.com.  (You can find more information about Wendy’s ministry and e-journal at www.internationalministries.org)

Again, thanks for your faithful love and prayers!  I’m sure we will have an even closer relationship now, with the help of my Missionary Partnership Team!

In Christ,
Wendy

P.S.  I enjoyed being with you in May.  I hope the flood clean-up is going well for your area.
