National Day of Prayer - Thur., May 1 at 12:00 pm

April 28th, 2008

Join sisters and brothers of the Christian faith, along with community leaders, as we host the National Day of Prayer rally on Thursday, May 1 at 12:00 p.m.   Participants will gather at City Hall (730 Maine Street) to pray for God’s direction and blessing for America.  Everyone is invited to participate in this ecumenical gathering.  Central Baptist’s office will be closed for one hour starting at 11:45 a.m. so staff can participate in the Rally.

In accordance with Biblical truth, the National Day of Prayer seeks to:

  • Foster Unity within the Christian Church
  • Protect America’s Constitutional Freedoms to gather, worship, pray and speak freely
  • Publicize and preserve America’s Christian heritage
  • Encourage and emphasize prayer, regardless of current issues and positions
  • Respect all people, regardless of denomination or creed
  • Be wise stewards of God’s resources and provisions.

Glorify the Lord in Word and Deed
