Children at Central Baptist are taking orders for “Earth Day Trees” as a spring fundraiser. This year, students are selling Ponderosa Pine seedlings for a suggested donation of $5.00 each. Proceeds will support the Children’s Ministry programming, summer camps and activities for children kindergarten through fifth-grade.
Every seekling comes in its own clear, recyclable plastic tube complete with planting and care instructions. Tress will be available for pick-up on Earth Day Sunday, April 20 or you can donate your trees to the City of Quincy, IL, or donate them to be planted in a United States National Forest. Trees are ordered from the National Arbor Day Foundation, Nebraska. Visit www.arborday.org to learn more about trees, hardiness zones and Arbor Day.
